I’m a Chicago native born in 1955 living in California for the past 37 years. I’m basically self taught.
My interest in photography began when I was 16 years old, my mother was a fine artist (painter) and had a camera to photograph her works, she inspired me to pursue the arts. I was learning about the camera and techniques and was soon processing film and Darkroom printing.
I started working on a self assigned project on Chicago’s skid row area and created a portfolio called “Madison Street”
(My first Photographs) That body of work earned me a partial scholarship at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA Program)
I have done commercial/freelance work including weddings, portraits, events and personal projects.
I have also been involved in projects and Publications and Gallery exhibits. Publications are
Millennium Photo Project – America 24/7 – California 24/7 – Black and White magazine – LensWork
Publishing and Newspaper Publications and exhibited at Sacramento’s View Point Gallery.
